We offer clothing alterations and garment repair services. We also repair shoes and boots, and can shine your shoes for you so they look better than ever! Note: Alterations may take a few extra days due to high volume.

Repair vs Alteration

Clothing repairs involve mending tears, replacing lost buttons, stitching loose seams, darning or patching tears and holes on clothes, replacing spoilt zippers, slacked elastics, among others. It is very necessary to mend clothes as soon as the tear occurs for it saves time and energy.

Alterations offer smaller adjustments that generally make clothing fit better. They are focused only on the adjustment of particular parts and perform simpler tasks such as hemming and shortening of sleeves or pant legs.

Alteration & Repair Costs

The exact price depends on the item and the fix, but most of our alterations range from R50 to R200. On the low end, you'll find simple repairs like hemming a dress or pants and shortening sleeves. On the high end are more elaborate fixes, like adjusting the shoulders of a blouse or coat.
